It is our goal to continue to be a positive force for the Hāmākua region and perpetuate our Small Town Big Aloha character.
The HBA was founded in 1984 and has been evolving through the years. Today our focus is on providing annual scholarships for higher education to Hamakua youth, town improvement projects, hosting free community events including Western Week, Honoka’a Ren Faire, Spring Carnival, Peace Out Saturday, and so much more.
